Ontour Transport Service, WFN Founder Members in Germany, recently completed an oversized shipment from Spain to Belgium, and made use of an unwanted tail unit! Peter Koppermann told WFN more:
“We had to arrange an oversize transport from Teruel/Spain to Brussels/Belgium where an aircraft was cut into pieces, so I asked if there’s any use of the tail unit. I managed to buy the tail unit and arranged the transport to our head office Frankfurt. This was in February 2024.
We had to disassemble the unit for transportation, we got rid of the old colour, painted it new and branded it, and built a concrete foundation and an iron frame to fix it. Yesterday we ordered a crane and put it up in the yard.
A nice project with lots of working hours, but finally it’s there now.”
