WHO IS WORLD FREIGHT NETWORK
World Freight Network Ltd’s registered company number is: 5275110. World Freight Network (WFN) is a network for international freight forwarders to facilitate the exchange of business.
ICO REGISTRATION
WFN has registered with ICO, the Information Commissioner’s Office. Reference number: ZA363554. ICO certification is only granted to companies which can prove they honour all regulations associated with data protection.
ABOUT THIS POLICY
Being transparent and providing accessible information to individuals about how their personal data is used is a key element of the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The most common way to provide this information is in a privacy notice. WFN respects and is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy clarifies how we’ll collect and use your personal information.
HOW IS PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED
WFN only collects information held in the public domain (on websites). Once a public phone number or email is contacted, personal information might then be volunteered by the individual with a view to discussing obtaining our services. This information might be provided over the telephone or via email. We have never sourced personal data information from a third party, including targeted B2B email lists.
Individuals might approach us to discuss obtaining our service. In this scenario, they will provide information via email or via our online forms, viewable on our website.
The only personal data stored is a name, mobile phone number and email address.
You may request a copy of the information we have on file for you by calling or emailing us with the details listed below. We are obliged to provide your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine readable form. This information would be provided free of charge.
If you provide your data and give us permission, we will use your data to inform you about our services and should you join our network, use your email and contact number to assist in providing our service to you.

HOW IS MY DATA SECURED
Processes are in place to ensure that your data is safely stored. WFN prides itself in upholding data protection laws. Information is only viewed by the required personnel. Your details are held in a secure cloud based system, operated by Blended Digital Ltd, a company which has accreditation from the National Cyber Security Centre “Cyber Essentials” to demonstrate they work to protect the data they store from cyber-attacks. Blended Digital is also registered with the ICO to comply with new hosting requirements to be acknowledged as a “processor of data” on our behalf.
– A legal process having the same consequence as a court-issued request for information, in that if WFN were to refuse to provide such information, it would be in breach of local law, and it or its employees would be subject to liability for failing to honour such legal process.
LAWFUL BASIS FOR PROCESSING DATA
All businesses have a lawful basis to store and use data for customers/staff/suppliers as necessary to conduct business, i.e. generate invoices, pay wages, issue contracts, etc. For example a member’s personal details are required to ensure insurance is obtained, regular contact can be made to ensure class times are clear and understood etc.

In compliance with the EU e-privacy Directive, this website uses cookies. We may send a small file to your computer when you visit our website. This will enable us to identify you on future visits and to track your movement within it for ‘user-friendly’ development purposes. We may use cookies to collect and store data and to link information stored by them with the personal data you supply to us. Except for the use of cookies, we only collect information you specifically provide to us. You can set your computer browser to reject cookies but this may preclude your use of certain parts of this website.
